About This Project
This "Dessert First" project is an extension and expansion of a project found within Lindsay Marsh's Graphic Design Masterclass. The original project focused on just the cookbook using elements provided from the course materials. At this point, however, I wanted to create my own logo and unique design that differed from the course's material in some way. As a result, I decided to treat the title of the book, "Dessert First", as the name of the brand/company publishing the book. In doing so I generated the logos seen here, using a variety of colors to get across a happy, outgoing, and overall sweet and sugary feel. I then pieced together each page spread using InDesign, making use of the color palette and iconography for the brand throughout.
Mockups found on mockups-design.com (excellent stuff there!) and images taken from Pexels.com and Unsplash.com. Logos were put together using Adobe Illustrator and the book was put together with Adobe InDesign.
