About the Alexi Torres Feature
During the Summer and Fall of 2024 I had the immense privilege to work as a Graphic Design Intern for The Contour of Luxury, a groundbreaking and exciting digital luxury magazine that continuously pushes the envelope in creativity and exuberance. Under the tutelage and guidance of the magazine's founder and editor-in-chief, Alexis Day, I found every day my internship filled with new experiences, education, and creation. With Alexis' guidance, I grew tremendously as not just a designer but as a person as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
This four-page, two-spread feature showcases premiere artist, Alexi Torres, as part of the Fall / Winter 2024 issue of The Contour of Luxury. I was given the task of utilizing the assets provided (namely photographs and written copy given to TCL) and creating a multi-page feature, which you see the fruits of my labor here. Showcasing his incredible artwork was of paramount importance for this article, as was making sure Torres himself was featured front and center on the first spread. With these things in mind, I dove into Photoshop and manipulated the photographs provided, masking and isolating the most effective and appropriate portions before moving into InDesign to lay out all the content. What you see here are the results of my efforts.
