About This Project
This book cover project was geared towards creating a textbook-style history book and I chose to make subject about Gutenberg's printing press and his first real printed book, the 42-Line Bible (otherwise known as Gutenberg's Bible). Meant to echo the look and feel of German scribes and their calligraphy at the time, this typeface was what he and his assistants came up with, referred to as Textura, Gothic, or Blackletter.
