About This Project
I was tasked with creating a pair of posters that represented two sides of a controversial topic of my choice. The main idea was that each poster had to represent the feelings and beliefs of one side of the debate with the intention of convincing the viewer of that side's argument. I decided to do my project on the topic of nuclear energy since it has many things going for and many things against it.
The argument for nuclear energy is meant to convey the perspective that it is a green, efficient, and safe form of energy that has the potential to be a source of limitless energy for decades, if not centuries to come.
The argument against nuclear energy is that it is dangerous and threatens both our fragile environment and our safety, whether through nuclear plants failing or the threat of nuclear war and the fallout that would follow.
Artist's Note: This project is meant as a way to compare two perspectives on a controversial topic and to present each argument in a convincing manner, regardless of my own opinions on this matter.
