About This Project
With this project, I was tasked with creating an illustration using the body of a letterform as the base to represent the letter chosen. Using the typeface of Helvetica and the uppercase "C," I chose to create a CASTLE to represent the letter.
Originally I had attempted to go with "cat" for this project, as seen in the brainstorming and sketches below, however I found that the letter itself was lost in the design, making it difficult to actually see the letterform at all. The castle allowed me to carve out the shape of the letter from within its body while still. holding onto the architecture at the same time.
