About This Project
For this project, I was tasked with creating a trifold pamphlet showcasing a fictional event of some kind and done in a style choice often found in the Industrial Revolution. Being the avid fisherman that I am, I figured it would be fun to do a pamphlet advertising local bass fishing at Waneta and Lamoka Lakes in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. Of course, all of the dates and these events are fictional (although plenty of tournaments do occur on these lakes throughout the summer).

The tricky part about this was how posters, handbills, and advertisements tended to use several different fonts/typefaces in their designs at that time. The fish (front cover) and boat (inside page) images were made using Photoshop on a couple of photographs I took last year while fishing at Waneta Lake with my dad. The map of the two lakes was done by taking a screenshot of those lakes on a map I have here at home and tracing them in Illustrator to get a vector image of the lakes. The star represents the boat launch in the canal between the lakes.
