About the Fall/Winter 2024 Animated Cover
During the Summer and Fall of 2024 I had the immense privilege to work as a Graphic Design Intern for The Contour of Luxury, a groundbreaking and exciting digital luxury magazine that continuously pushes the envelope in creativity and exuberance. Under the tutelage and guidance of the magazine's founder and editor-in-chief, Alexis Day, I found every day my internship filled with new experiences, education, and creation. With Alexis' guidance, I grew tremendously as not just a designer but as a person as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
This project is just one of several that I tackled during my time with Alexis and The Contour of Luxury. Not satisfied with yet another static cover design, we decided it would be far more impactful to create an animated cover that showcases the main feature of the magazine: the magnificent paintings by artist Alexi Torres. Using my experience and knowledge as a video editor, I created this cover over the course of a few days with quite a bit of trial and error, especially in regard to the music and pacing. The end result is something I am truly proud of, and I hope you enjoy it too!
