As part of my MFA in Graphic Design, I enjoyed a course in digital imaging where I focused my efforts on photo manipulation and editing using Adobe Camera Raw. But first, I needed to get my hands on some inspiring photos. Even though it was November, it was surprisingly warm for that time of year. So I took advantage of the nice weather and ventured to Watkins Glen State Park, only half an hour away from my home.

If you've never visited or heard of this place, I highly recommend stopping by at least once in your lifetime if you are a fan of nature and beautiful views. The park is very well known for its Spiral Gorge that snakes its way through the hillside, situated just south of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. A crystal clear stream flows its way through the gorge, as it has done so for... well, forever I suppose. Ever since the glaciers moved through and carved the lakes and terrain out of this area, really.

The park is such a beautiful place that it's become a popular tourist destination, and even as a local I very much enjoy coming here and taking in its breathtaking views. The photos here are my favorites from that day's photoshoot.
