About This Project
While working on my MFA in Graphic Design, I also explored my love of photography by diving into a couple of Digital Photography courses. They were a lot of fun and I learned a great deal. One of the first things I did in both classes was explore depth of field and motion.
In this instance, I was driving around Watkins Glen, which sits at the southern tip of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. This area is well known for its beautiful scenery, with special interest in the gorges that are carved into the hills. And yet this photograph was taken right next to a major road leading out of the southern end of the city! It had rained recently and the water pouring down from the hills was spilling over this small cliff edge. It was the perfect opportunity for exploring motion in photography!
