While working on my MFA in Graphic Design, I also explored my love of photography by diving into a couple of Digital Photography courses. They were a lot of fun and I learned a great deal. One of the first things I did in both classes was explore depth of field and motion.
This set of photos was taken while exploring Birdseye Hollow Park, near Waneta and Lamoka Lakes in Upstate New York. Under one of the various picnic areas was a set of picnic tables lined up in a row. The texture in the wood alone jumped out at me, and with them all lined up like this I knew I found a fantastic scene to shoot as I continued my study of depth of field. I edited them into black and white to bring out the wood textures more clearly.
